Helping a large international logistics service company to optimize its scheduling strategy covering shipments by rail, barge and trucks. Entdecker team imported heterogeneous data into the GAMP platform, performed initial data cleansing and populated missing data with precalculated values. Clusters were created on this prepared data using information about shipments, based on departure date, utilized capacity, container size, load percentage of each tour per week, etc. Through this approach many conclusions were drawn, resulting in various improvements including scheduling strategy, utilized capacity, reduced waiting times, customer satisfaction, and others.
